We have reserved the Ceder Flat Group Site-Camp Noren  for the September  campout.  Cedar Flat is located 25 miles Southeast of Bishop California in the Inyo National Forest. There is very little light pollution that makes for great nighttime sky views so bring some binoculars.   Breakfast is at Squeeze In in Modesto at 3020 Floyd Ave #101, Modesto, CA 95355. Our ride will take 108 over the Sierra Nevada range.  After that we head south to Benton with a stop in Bishop for supplies then head to camp.  We will stop in Twain Harte for a bathroom break and a quick lunch somewhere on the route, probably  in Lee Vining   The Route is about 280 miles and should take about 5.5 hours not including stops.  It's a long ride so we are going to leave at 9 AM sharp.  Show up with a full tank of gas and be ready to roll at 9 AM.   While it's a relatively simple route,  familiarize yourself with the route and have a route sheet or load a route into your navigation device of choice.  

Important Notes about the Campsite

• There is no water at the campsite so make sure to bring sufficient water for cooking and drinking.  We are stopping in Bishop for food supplies so you can pick some up there or in Big Pines.
  
• The campground is at 7200 feet.  The weather looks nice  however be prepared for nighttime temperatures that could get in to the high 30’s.
  
• There are no fires allowed so be prepared to cook with gas or propane only.  No charcoal or campfires allowed
