After working with the Valley Medical Center in San Jose for several months, we final got it done!

On Thursday, August 22, 6pm, there will be a Stop The Bleed Class for our Club members.
The class will be held at the Valley Medical Center in San Jose.
The location of the hospital is 751 S. Bascom Ave. San Jose. We will be in Building Q, basement room 160.

This class will be free for club members, Friends and family.

Please sign up beforehand, so we know how many participants to expect. This is a hands-on class, so we need to know how many supplies to provide.

Why take his class?

Motorcycle Accidents happen. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Someone who is severely bleeding can bleed to death in as little as 5 minutes. That’s why bleeding control—keeping the blood inside the body—is the purpose of Stop the Bleed training. In this course, you learn and practice 3 quick actions that can teach you how to save a life you can be trained to save a life. Even if you have no time for a full First Aid/CPR class, this course can make a huge difference: Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to stop the bleed. 

By learning how to STOP THE BLEED®, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleeding once you learn three quick techniques: 

• Applying Pressure with your hands

• Packing a wound

• Applying a tourniquet

This hands-on class will take less than 2 hours of your time. The instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, but they will also be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to stop and save a life.
